 If the expansive metropolitan pandemonium of Los Angeles is too much for you, you may perhaps value the calmer, more subtle atmosphere of San Diego, California. Even though it is the 2nd biggest city in California, it feels like a world away from L.A. The word is spreading about the splendor of the city, and San Diego tourism is continuing to grow as an industry.

San Diego was established as the spot of the 1st mission in California, later on turning into a chief commerical port when the Santa Fe Railroad reached the city in the 1880s. Because of its pedigree as a Spanish colony, colonial architecture is prevalent, as are neo-Gothic and Moorish architecture. The natural surroundings are also striking, with stretches of elegant beaches that you can take pleasure in all through much of the year, as well as desert, mountains, state parks, and forests. The sub-tropical climate is generally warm and sunny throughout the year.

Among the important points of San Diego is Balboa Park, home to the globally famous San Diego Zoo which has over 4000 animals. Additionally, Sea World is an important tourist site, bringing multitudes ready to have fun while studying about marine life.

Possibly comparabe to Venice Beach is the Mission Beach Boardwalk, which resembles a seaside carnival on the beach. Boasting roller coasters, bicycle rental stores, roller bladers, and street vendors, Mission Beach attracts even those people with zero interest in dipping into the water. But of course San Diego is a wonderful place to surf if you feel like renting a surfboard here and fight the waves.

Pacific Beach is another beautiful beach that functions as a hub of nightlife in the city. Garnet street is full of cafes and bars full of people out for an evening of amusement and partying. Close by is the Gaslamp Quarter, whose exquisite Victorian architecture gives the district a historic ambiance.

 The county of Pembrokeshire in South Wales has a vast amount of things to do including a huge choice for families with children. It makes an exceptional option for a vacation whether you want to rest on one of the beautiful beaches (Barafundle Bay is especially recommended) or alternatively take part in one of the more daring activities on offer.

The Venture Jet offers a thrilling outdoor adventure. You can see caves from water level and admire the spectacular cliffs from the sea while travelling on a jet RIB. It is a terrific way to investigate the United Kingdoms only coastal National Park.

The region has a rich sea life and there are lots of different boat trips from which you can observe dolphins, whales and porpoises. Voyages of Discovery offers trips devoted to seeing these mesmerizing creatures.

TYF Adventure offers you the opportunity to try out coasteering, surfing, kayaking or rock climbing. All age groups are welcome and the business caters for all abilities from beginners to experts.

The district of Preseli Hills is well known for walking opportunities. The bluestones of Stonehenge come from this region. The hills rise to five hundred and thirty six metres above sea level and are scattered with prehistoric remains.

Oakwood Theme Park has over thirty rides and attractions and is one of Waless leading tourist attractions. There are a number of white knuckle rides to select from, but for those of you searching for something quieter there are also pedaloes, crazy golf and boating on the lake.

Folly Farm is a firm favourite for families with children. Folly Farm Zoo is home to over two hundred exotic animals. Many of the animals are very uncommon and the farm is part of a breeding programme to help prevent different species from becoming extinct. Folly Farm also has a funfair with a difference. It is in fact the biggest undercover vintage funfair in Europe. Jolly Farm is probably Folly Farms most well known attraction. Visitors can meet farm animals and their babies. The bottle feeding show is particularly popular!

Heatherton Park, near Tenby is all about fun and excitement. There is an eighteen hole pitch and putt golf course, paintballing, karting and a maze. Further activities include archery, bowling, laser clay pigeon shooting and much more.

Silent World Aquarium and Reptile Collection is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Tenby. It is home to many species of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. There are also displays of exotic fish.

Colby Woodland Garden offers lovely walks. There are eight acres of gardens with fine displays of rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas and camellias.
